Share the excitement with thousands of fans as the world’s 16 best teams fight for the medals in Gothenburg. The IFF World Championships 2014 is the largest sporting event of the year in Sweden. We promise a World Championship that you will remember forever.

The Championships will be played in Scandinavium Arena and Lisebergshallen Arena, located in the city centre within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, shopping and Liseberg Amusement Park.

Right next to the arenas you will also find Fun Zone, an activity area for people of all ages.

The opening ceremony for the championships will be held outdoors in the city centre, together with the opening of the Christmas City on December 5.

 

 

WCF cares about the environment

To arrange a World Championship requires many different kinds of resources. That is why we have decided to accept our responsibility and be as environmentally conscious as possible during the World Floorball Championships 2014. This is the first time evere, worldvide, a floorball-event is awarded an environmantal diploma.

This means that we will actively try to reduce the impact on the environment as much as possible. We will, therefore, among other things:

• Plan our trips carefully, facilitate trips by public transportation and carbon offset the trips we do take.
• Opt for organic and local food and offer vegetarian options.
• Sort all waste as well as rent and reuse as much material as possible.
• The energy used during the World Championship will be renewable energy, coming from wind power.

 As the biggest championship event in Sweden 2014 we are proud to continue the green tradition in Gothenburg.
