Denmark finished strong against Estonia

Denmark, who are ranked 14th in the world, finished in a convincing 7th place in this year’s WFC after a strong finish in the match against Estonia. Denmark won 2-7 (1-3,0-1,1-3).

Denmark has done very well in this Championship. The Danes have been impressive, they won all of their matches in the group play, they knocked Germany out of the Championship and got to the quarter-finals and finished the tournament with a victory. Right off the bat, Denmark showed everyone that they wanted to finish strong, and they had a three-goal lead after 15 minutes (0-3). Vladimir Nurmi evened out the score for Estonia before the end of the first period.

Estonia tried to even the score and pushed a lot in the second period and Anders Kjaer in the Danish goal had to make 13 saves during the period. And the Dansih team still increased their lead when Niklas Jensen scored 1-4.

Denmark continued to score in the third period and won in the end with 2-7, after both Niklas Jensen and Stefan Hedorf made three points each during the match. Therefore, the Danes ended up in 7th place and Estonia in 8th.
