Sweden is through to the semi-final in the World Floorball Championship in Gothenburg after a big victory over Estonia with 17-0 (3-0, 6-0, 8-0). And it was Swedish star Rasmus Enström who celebrated the most.

Sweden, the favourites, got through to the semi-final in the WFC on Thursday night. The Estonians were no game for Sweden. Mattias Wallgren scored eight minutes into the first period and there would be two more goals before the end of the first period.

Before the game, Rasmus Enström was honoured, because he has played his fiftieth match in his blue-and-yellow jersey. And he graced the score sheet as well. Early in the second period, Johan Samuelsson served Enström a ball and he scored easily.  Then, he dribbled past a defender about ten minutes later and scored 7-0 in the goalkeeper’s far goalpost.

The score was 9-0 to Sweden at the beginning of the third period, but they did not slack off. Instead they scored eight more goals in twenty minutes and the final score was 17-0.

It is not yet determined who Sweden meets in the semi-final, it will be decided on Friday when Switzerland plays against Latvia. The semi-final is on Saturday at 17.15 at Scandinavium.
