The World Floorball Championships, on 5–14 December 2014, will bring 16 international teams to the city. They, and many others, will be transported to and from the arenas in Gothenburg by Sohlberg Buss AB.

It has now been confirmed that Sohlberg, a bus and transport company that is growing rapidly in western Sweden and specialises in sports and large events that require complex logistical solutions, will be an official transport sponsor of the 2014 World Floorball Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden.
“We are very passionate about sports. We know how important it is for people to feel fit and healthy, and we want to help spread this awareness. Being a sponsor of the World Floorball Championships is both worthwhile and great fun. Being able to help the competitors get to the arenas in a relaxed state so that they can focus on performing well is also a bonus,” says Hans-Erik Sohlberg, CEO of Sohlberg Buss AB.

Spectators at the championships will also have the opportunity to travel in a safe and relaxing style. Special championship buses will be available for booking, giving sports clubs in the region a convenient way of transporting their young members to and from the event.

Apart from the important aspects of safety and low environmental impact, Sohlberg Buss will also ensure that competitors and spectators get to and from the arenas on time, which will enhance overall enjoyment of the event.

Floorball is one of the most popular indoor sports in Sweden, with almost half a million participants who regularly play in clubs, through Korpen sports associations, at schools and in workplaces. If some of those who live in western Sweden choose our championship buses instead of travelling in individual cars we can together reduce the environmental impact considerably.

Hans–Erik Sohlberg again:
“Aside from the World Championships being a fantastic project that we are proud to sponsor, it’s also exciting to play a part in the development of Gothenburg and the west of Sweden as a destination for international sports.”

Magnus Nilsson, project manager for the championships, which are the biggest sports event in Sweden in 2014, says:
“Sohlberg Buss is strongly committed to sports and it is very reassuring to know that the organising team for the World Floorball Championships has access to their experience.”

Magnus adds:
“Their contribution is not just to transport the participating nations to and from the airports and between hotels and training sessions and events, but also to offer fans and supporters alternative travel arrangements to watch the championship games in Gothenburg. They are also actively assisting with the marketing of the event by advertising the World Championships on a number of their buses.”
