Julia Kedhammar sings the official World Championship song

11/13/2014 8:02:45 AM -

The World Floorball Championships is fast approaching. And there is no party without music. The official Championship song this year is called “Dancing for Gold” and the singer is 14-year old Julia Kedhammar, who will represent Sweden in Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014.

The International Floorball Federation (IFF), LOC (the local floorball organisation) and the floorball brand UNIHOC are the initiators behind the song.

– Having an official Championship song is awesome! Henrik Berndtson wrote the song and got us in contact with Julia, then we worked together and produced a video, with the help of IFF, TV4 and YLE, which we hope both will inspire and entertain the floorball visitors, says Kalle Brännberg, marketing manager at UNIHOC.

The song will be performed by Julia Kedhammar during the opening ceremony of the World Floorball Championships and Christmas City at Götaplatsen on the 5th of December. The Swedish rap singer Linda Pira will also perform.

The singer will be at Scandinavium on the 14th of December as well and sing during the big final.

The World Floorball Championships is the biggest sport championship in Sweden during 2014. 16 nations from all over the world will face off for the gold in Gothenburg. The World Championship celebrations begin with the opening ceremony on December 5th and end with the final in Scandinavium on December 14th.

Listen to the song and and watch the video
