Fans from down under

Australia did not just have an impressive start to the WFC2014. They also have an impressive group of cheerleaders on the stands.

A lot of the fans traveled to Gothenburg to watch their team play during the World Floorball Championship. Some of them have traveled a little bit longer than others. Three of the fans are Amanda Parnell, Glenice and Carl King from Australia. They traveled to Gothenburg from Melbourne to cheer on their sons and grandsons who play on the Australian team. They supported the team from the stands with flags, green hats and stuffed animals, in Australia’s first game against Russia.

− We arrived on Tuesday and we’ll stay for two weeks. It’s great fun to be here but we had wished for more snow! says Amanda.

All three of them are hardcore floorball fans, just like the rest of their family.

− Everyone in the family plays, says Carl.

There will be no time to explore anything outside of Gothenburg since they prioritize the Championship.

Considering the impressive start Australia got in the WFC2014, with a 11-9 victory against Russia, many hours will be spent in the arenas during the week.
