Czech Republic met Norway in the final match of day one in the Scandinavium Arena and managed to take the two points by winning 7-6 (4-3, 1-0, 2-3).

The Czechs scored the first two goals and controlled the ball, but couldn´t prevent Norway´s technically skilled Ole Mossin Olesen from scoring a tricky zorro goal. Both teams scored goals one after another and by the end of the first period the score was 4-3 to Czech Republic.

Only one goal was scored during the second period and that was by the Czech team. They continued moving the ball around, but every time Norway managed to get the possession, they created a dangerous counter attack ending up in a scoring chance.

The last period was just as tight as the previous. Czechs scored one goal in the beginning and even had the chance to score one on powerplay, but instead Norway scored a goal shorthanded after another counter attack. The excitement continued all the way but the Czechs could hang on to the lead.
